This Privacy Policy explains how KRS Typing (krstyping.com) (“we”, “us”) collects, uses and protects your information when you use our website and the KRS Typing software.
1. Information we collect
- Account details: your name, email address, mobile number and address, given when you register, order a plan or contact us.
- Subscription details: your plan, its start and end dates and your payment status.
- Computer (device) details: when you log in to the KRS Typing software, it collects and sends to us your computer’s MAC address (network adapter ID), a computer ID generated from your Windows installation, the computer name and the software version. By installing and logging in to the software you agree to this collection.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type and pages visited, kept in standard server logs.
2. What stays on your computer
Typing results, test history and student names are stored only on your computer. They are not uploaded to our servers.
3. How we use your information
- To create your account, send login codes (OTP) and your software login details.
- To check your subscription and deliver new typing passages to the software.
- To register your Login ID to one computer and stop the same Login ID from being used on other computers (licence protection).
- To send service emails such as renewal reminders.
- To answer your questions and provide support.
4. Sharing
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with service providers needed to run the service (web hosting, email delivery and, if you pay online, the payment gateway), or when required by law.
5. Payments
Online payments are processed by the payment gateway. We do not store your card, UPI or bank details.
6. Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep you logged in and to protect forms. We do not use advertising cookies.
7. Data security and retention
Passwords and login codes are stored in encrypted (hashed) form. We keep your account details while your account is active and as required by law. You may ask us to delete your account at any time.
8. Your rights
You can view and update your profile in “My Account”, or write to us to correct or delete your information.
